Our mission: The Bouvier Brigade is the employee sponsored charitable works outreach division of Bouvier Insurance. This passionate employee group is responsible for organizing service projects as well as raising awareness and much needed funds for qualified charities within the communities where we work, live and play.

Created as a way to celebrate Bouvier’s 60th anniversary we have continued the program to assist our communities on a regular basis. Promoting social awareness through volunteerism, contributions, and collections we have become an outreach service program that our community partners can rely on.

The Bouvier Brigade hosted a collection to support our lost and often forgotten four legged members of the community. Donated items were delivered to The NECCOG Animal Services, Old Lyme Animal Control, Waterford East Lyme Animal Control, Westerly An

The Brigade assisted the Waterford Lions with their concession stand assisting in raising over $2,500 for local programs and charities.

The Bouvier Brigade collected, sorted and delivered clothing for the Westerly Warm Center Attire for Hire program.

Some members of the Brigade bowled the night away, taking the coveted top place fundraising award for the Chamber of Commerce ECT Foundation.

Bouvier Brigade supported the St. Baldrick’s foundation, with volunteers assisting at the Shave-a thon. Including 4 bald heads and raising $3,000 for children’s cancer research.

The Brigade tackled home improvement projects for Habitat for Humanity, along with a donation of $1000.00.

The Brigade spent a day weeding and harvesting, and then some veggie washing, Immune Broth making, and card writing for Healing Meals Community Project.

August was about sending our community children back to school to get the great start they deserve. Helping community programs like the Back to School Expo in Meriden, Waterford Youth Services, and the Bridge Family Center.

An impromptu blanket drive was a huge success to benefit the St Vincent de Paul Place Norwich.

Diaper Dilemma, solved

The Brigade has been hard at work again this month, maintaining meaningful community connections while supporting children and families in our area. The Casual for a Cause funds collected first quarter were utilized to purchase over 14,000 wipes and approximately 10,000 diapers for families in need.

The Bouvier Brigade utilized this quarter’s employee contributions from our Casual for a Cause collection to purchase over 200lbs of dog food, 200lbs of cat foot, 700lbs of cat litter, and other various necessities for the Waterford East Lyme Animal Control, Old Lyme Animal Control, and West Hartford Animal Control facilities.

These municipal organizations are often under funded and rely on donations to properly care for the animals under their ward…
